The term “Ba’al” means “Master” or “Lord,” though many spiritual deities — who had temples built for them – adopted it as a name.
And so it’s with that pretense this song must deliver a powerful presence.
Listen long enough and that presence and intensity extends into an omnipresent uneasiness. The constant fluctuations of the wind instruments overtop frantic drumming leaves you with a sense of mysterious power.

Free International Production Music "Temple of Baal",

Wow. This piece fits with my book so well. (I listen to music while I write. I’m up to almost 100,000 words now! YAY!) And I’m so making my book into a film on day too. Anyway, my characters get sent as slaves to a dark temple. They’re in awe at the strange beauty of it all, the bright colors, the dancers…but also shocked and terrified by the evil lurking in the brutal high priest…this piece just captures all of that. The violins (?) in the back with that melody is just sadness and creepiness, but then there’s this liveliness too…so perfect.
