Free Cinematic Production Music “Passing Over”

Free Cinematic Production Music from Free Stock MusicLike the Glockenspiel heavy scores for a Tim Burton movie, “Passing Over” makes full use of the instrument’s unique ability to sound creepy and ethereal at the same time.

And like Burton’s composer of choice Danny Elfman, this song swaps a true melody structure in place of extended moods, tones, and ambient soundscapes. The result is a cinematic underscore perfect for horror films, thrillers, or any other video designed to make audiences uneasy.

  1. Do you folks ever remix loops? I would love to see a 30 sec loop from this… as it is I will be trying to mix one myself.

    • Free Stock Music says:

Sometimes, yes. I don’t think we have a loop mix for this track, but you can always search for the track title on our sponsor site, Video Blocks, to see the different versions available. We will generally only post the full versions of the tracks here.

  2. Mike Hutchinson says:

    Nice and brooding…

  3. Moragn says:

Here’s the picture in my head: Two kids, a boy and a girl looking into this funny box-like object. They don’t know what it is, but there’s something strange and fascinating about it. A blue-green light shines all around them, coming from it….
    * * *
“What is it?” The girl asks, looking at the boy with curious eyes.
“I don’t know.” The boy’s face stays fixed on the object. He leans forward to touch it, but the girl pulls him back.
“What are you doing?” she asks.
“Well I have to find out what it is, don’t I?”
    “All right, but…be careful.”
The boy leans in and touches the thing lightly with his finger. Suddenly a dark figure appears. A man, tall and thin, dressed in dark red clothing.
The children take a step back.
“Wh…who are you?” The boy asks.
“Would you like to find out?” The man grins.
The boy glances back at the girl, he’s about to step forward, but she beats him to it. She steps toward the man.
“How do we know we can trust you?” She asks.
“You don’t…but isn’t that part of the adventure?” the grin is unfading.
The girl takes on last look back at the boy, before walking behind the man’s cloak.
The boy screams her name, and the dark figure reaches out his hand to him.
“So, are you coming or not?” The man asks.
The boy glances back home, away from the darkness, then turns back “I have to find her.” he thinks, standing straighter. Taking the figure’s gloved hand, he pulls back the cloak and steps in…

And the music fades away and kudos to you if you took the time to read all that. I’m a writer, what can I say? If you read that while listening to the music maybe you can see it to?
