Teenage angst is brought on by those feelings that the whole world is against you and that you’re an underdog. It’s no wonder then that punk rock — long a forgotten rock genre — appeals to that “lost” generation.
Capturing the spirit of that adolescent anxiety is “Underdog,” a track that rushes forward with heavy power chord guitar riffs, crashing cymbals, and a relentless snare drum.
Taken as a whole, it’s reminiscent of early Blink 182, Sum 41, and other early 2000’s rock groups.
And while “Underdog” has plenty of uses as a production music track, it’s going to find itself best suited for those hoping to reach a younger audience.
